“I have been an animal lover from birth, at least I cannot remember a time when I didn’t have some creature by my side. When my family and I moved here to Minnesota six years ago and bought a small hobby farm, I finally got my chance at horse ownership. So within two and a half years we went from one horse to six and it’s changed our lives in so many ways! Having this kind of close contact with a horse made me realize that these beautiful and majestic creatures had so much more to offer. I felt such empowerment and introspect around them that I knew they had more to share with us. Then I had the pleasure of reading The Tao of Equus by Linda Kohanov and as the saying goes, the rest is history. After reading her book, I knew I had found my true destiny. So I have spent the last four years studying this amazing work and sharing the Wisdom of the Horse with others.” - Dawn

THE MEANING OF OUR LOGO ~
...A Native American legend tells us that the horse is a gift from eagle making the difference between a prosperous life and a struggle simply for survival. Horses embody instinct, power and grace. They inspire our dreams and awaken creativity. Interactions with horse empathy and wisdom bring us closer to our instinctual and authentic self...
I pay attention to signs. Especially signs from the animals, and while driving home one day, deep in thought about what I am doing with my life, there was a sign on the side of the road ~ a Bald Headed Eagle! Not very common right here in Southern Rochester (sitting on the side of the road), so I paid attention and according to the Native American beliefs:
"Eagle medicine is the power of the Great Spirit, the connection to the divine. Eagle reminds you to take heart and gather your courage, for the universe is presenting you with an opportunity to soar above the mundane levels of your life. The power of recognizing this opportunity may come in the form of a spiritual test. In being astute, you may recognize places in your soul, personality, emotions or psyche that need bolstering or refinement. Eagle teaches you to broaden your sense of self beyond the horizon of what is presently visible."
Strange how right on the animals can be, isn't it?
